Man convicted of drug felony arrested again
Less than two months after being released from prison for felony drug possession, a Butler man is back behind bars accused of the same crime after suffering an apparent overdose at his halfway house.
Jeffrey Dylan McMillen, 25, is being held in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail. He is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Police and emergency crews were sent about 8:45 a.m. to the Care Center on East North Street where a man had reportedly overdosed.
Paramedics found McMillen, who lives there, conscious and alert. He refused further medical treatment.
A police officer noticed on top of McMillen’s dresser 30 stamp bags of suspected heroin. All the bags were labeled in red ink with the word “Spiderman” and they were stamped with an image of Spiderman in silhouette, according to court documents.
Also atop the dresser, police said, was a syringe and suspected drug-cooking spoon.
McMillen was arrested, arraigned and placed in the county prison. A preliminary hearing was not immediately set.
Court and prison records showed the defendant was released from the county lockup on Feb. 17, after serving a 13-month stint for felony possession in a 2016 drug
