Slippery Rock American Legion Post 393 celebrated its birthday dinner with the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 393 and honored the outstanding eighth-grade boy and girl and winners of the auxiliary’s 2018 essay contest. The students attend Slippery Rock Elementary School and Slippery Rock Middle School. The fifth-grade contest winners were, front, from left, Anderson Franco, first place; Eyan Arblaster, second place; and Jenna Hindman, third place. The eighth-grade contest winners were back, from left, Seaton Wozniak, first place; Anna Greer, second place; and Brownwyn McCoy, third place.
