Betty G. Scott

Betty G. Scott, 98, formerly of York and Butler died Sunday at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant.

She was born May 19, 1919, in New Castle, to her parents, Hubert J. and Frances (Riddle) Goodrich MD.

Betty was a teacher in the Butler School District.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the P.E.O. Sorority and Chi Omega Sorority at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her son, J. Ray (Linda) Scott; her daughter, Rebecca (Joe) Douthett; her grandchildren, Scott (Sonia) Douthett, Tracee (Sigmund) Wojtkowski, Jody (Brad) Heflin, Wendy Scott; and her great-grandchildren, Shelby, Slade, Christopher, Joseph, Jena and Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph C. Scott; and her brother, William Goodrich.

SCOTT — Visitation for Betty G. Scott, who died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, will be from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 120 S. Broad St., Middletown, Ohio, where funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with the Rev. John Wagner officiating.Graveside committal service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Calvary Cemetery in McKees Rocks.Arrangements were entrusted to Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, Ohio.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 120 S.
