Mary B Czalko

Mary B. Czalko, 86, of Zelienople died Monday at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony.

Born Sept. 26, 1919, in Cheboygan, Mich., she was the daughter of Leon and Louise Borgola Brach.

She was an active member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople where she belonged to St. Ann's Guild. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella in Cheboygan.

She enjoyed baking.

Surviving her are a daughter, Connie DeArmit and her husband, Randy, of Zelienople; two sisters, Helen Grubinski and Sophie Shields, both of Cheboygan; two brothers, Ted Brach and his wife, Gert, of Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Benny Brach and his wife, Nancy, of Dearborn; and three grandchildren, Jodie Perry and her husband John, Justin DeArmit and Jackie DeArmit.

She was preceded in death by her husband Matthew Czalko, who died in 1989; five brothers, John, Frank, Joseph, Tony and Leo Brach; and two sisters, Vicki Pitera and Gertrude Broda.

<B>CZALKO</B> — Friends of Mary B. Czalko, who died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with her church pastor, Rev. Robert M. Miller officiating.
