Butler Catholic, St. Wendelin go on line through Jan. 8

Butler Catholic and St. Wendelin schools are adding remote learning days around the Christmas break due to COVID-19 considerations.

The schools announced Friday that all students will participate in remote learning around the schools' scheduled Christmas break. Remote learning will take place from Dec. 14 to Dec. 18 and from Jan. 4 to Jan. 8.

“We are so grateful for the cooperation and support of our teachers and school families as we've worked together through the COVID-19 pandemic. We pray for everyone's safety, health, and happiness during this Holy Season,” said JoLynn Clouse, St. Wendelin Catholic School principal. The school is in Oakland Township.

School administrators will keep school families informed on any further changes as they evaluate the situation.

“Since our return from Thanksgiving break, the number of students participating in virtual learning has significantly increased, some by parent request, others by contact tracing,” said Sister John Ann Mulhern, Butler Catholic School principal. The school is at 515 E. Locust St.
