JACKSON TWP — Two people were transported to the hospital and part of Route 68 was closed after a two-SUV collision Thursday afternoon.

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. Thursday, a black Chevrolet Equinox traveling west on Route 68 toward Zelienople crossed the center line and collided with a silver Toyota 4Runner that was heading east toward Evans City near 2227 Evans City Road, according to Jackson Township Police. The black SUV veered right off the roadway and the Toyota ended up on the side of the road.
