A truck was on fire Saturday afternoon on the side of Route 422.

The Portersville Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department, EMTs and the state police were called at 12:11 p.m. to the scene of a truck fire on the side of Route 422 near the South Shore exit. According to the fire department, two passengers in pickup truck were uninjured; only the pickup truck and the camper were involved.

The pickup truck and its contents were a total loss. Part of the camper was salvageable. Both westbound lanes of Route 422 were closed but reopened around 1 p.m.
