Jane H. Phillips, 85, of Butler passed away Dec. 26 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Jane was born March 1, 1929, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Houghton and Winnie Arnett Phillips.

Jane was a longtime member of the Butler and San Antonio country clubs, where she enjoyed countless gatherings with family and friends. Until her passing, Jane lived an active life that included regular games of bridge with her many friends and spending time with her family.

Throughout her life, Jane enjoyed traveling, shopping, horses, ice skating, playing bridge and golf. Jane had a tremendous smile, a sincere love and appreciation for others and a heartfelt laugh that brought happiness to those around her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Jane is survived by four sons, Herbert Phillips of Pittsburgh, William (Barbara) Johnson of San Antonio, Texas, Roger Rasbach of Houston, Texas, and Oscar Rasbach of Houston, Texas; five granddaughters, Sarah Catherine Phillips, Alexis Phillips, Cori Phillips, Kaitlynn Phillips and Beverly Johnson; three grandsons, Levi Phillips, Phillip C. Phillips and Nicholas C. Phillips; and her great-granddaughter, Serenity Phillips.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Johnson; her sister, Susanna Phillips Kelley; and her brother, Herbert “Hoky” Houghton Phillips Jr.
