Ann Lucille Cooke

Ann Lucille Cooke, 76, of 217 Normal Ave., Slippery Rock, died Tuesday at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, Venango County.

Born in Lake Placid, N.Y., May 28, 1934, she was the daughter of Harold Wentworth Golding and M. Lucille Davies Golding.

She married Dean A. Cooke I in 1958, and he died in 1995.

She earned a bachelor's degree from Wilson College in English Literature and a master's degree in elementary education from the State University of New York, SUNY, Potsdam.

In retirement, she was active volunteering with the Feed My Sheep Food Cupboard and Meals on Wheels, both of Slippery Rock.

She was a member of the Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church in America, Harrisville, where she taught Sunday school for more than 30 years.

She cared for people with a listening ear and thoughtful written words expressed in many cards each month. She was a devoted mother, wife and faithful friend.

Surviving are two daughters, Della L. Chuderewicz of State College and Peggy J. Burns (Kirby L.) of Slippery Rock; two sons, Dean A. Cooke II of State College and Cleve D. Cooke (Krista L.) of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Robert Davies Golding (Carolyn) of Cherry Hill, N.J. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Kohlton D. Kauffman, Calbert J. and Tesia A. Chuderewicz and Ann Katherine Burns.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Wentworth Golding

<B>COOKE</B> — A memorial service for Ann Lucille Cooke, who died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, will be at the Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church in America, 123 Rocky Springs Road, Harrisville, at 1 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Scott Fleming, pastor of the Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Earl Fair, formerly of Rocky Springs PCA, officiating. Interment will be in the Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Springs PCA, 123 Rocky Springs Road, P.O.
