Raymond Dale Rensel

Raymond Dale Rensel, 75, of Butler died Wednesday evening in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 13, 1929, in Butler, he was the son of Archie and Nora Maxwell Rensel.

He retired after 41 years as a turn foreman in the strip shears department at Armco-Butler Works. He also served on the Pennsylvania Fish Commission for several years and was a member of the CB Rangers.

He loved his family and all of nature. He also loved bird watching and listening to country music.

Mr. Rensel was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Meridian.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 57 years, Arlene Eakin Rensel. He was the beloved father of two daughters, Ms. Trina Rensel of Evans City and Candace and Jeffrey Johnson and her husband, Jeffrey, of Butler; and three sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Drusilla, Kim and Chris and Lonnie and Kelli, all of Butler. He also is survived by five grandsons, Todd, Chad, Brian and Colin Rensel and Travis Keene; seven granddaughters, Jennifer Flaugh, Brandi Maser, Lisa Shearer, Amber Goldstein, Megan Eshenbaugh, Kelly Johnson and Emily Rensel; and seven great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Robert (Judy) Winrader of Butler also survives.

He was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers and an infant grandson.
