Second man linked to stolen guns found in traffic stop
An arrest warrant has been issued for another man linked to stolen guns found during a traffic stop in Middlesex Township last week.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Charles L. Bassett, 60, of Butler, after Middlesex Township Police filed felony charges of unlicensed carrying of a gun and possessing stolen property.
According to charging documents, Bassett was sitting in the backseat alongside Damian J. Blystone, 19, of Butler, when police stopped the vehicle Jan. 26 for traffic violations.
Blystone had been out on bail from other charges related to a shooting at the Clearview Mall parking lot earlier in January. According to police, Blystone was charged after officers uncovered evidence he threatened the shooter, Carlos Gonzalez Carill, shortly before the shooting.
