These items were collected from various police departments:
5:16 p.m. Jan. 25 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on the 100 block of Campbell Avenue in Butler Township.
Police said Amy Hanuscak, 33, of Butler, was backing out of a driveway when she hit a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Butler boy. Police said Hanuscak was cited accordingly.
Jan. 25 — Brian J. Miller, 33, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor theft and possessing stolen property, related to items stolen from Lowe’s in Butler Township.
Police said security video shows Miller enter the store empty-handed during each theft, pick items from the store and return those items for a Lowe’s gift card.
Police said Miller returned items Aug. 6 valued at about $551, and he returned items Oct. 22 valued at about $737.
Jan. 25 — William R. Konar Jr., 53, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor leaving the scene of a Jan. 21 vehicle crash near 500 Evans City Road in Butler Township.
Police said they reviewed a video from a camera at the intersection and used a plate reader. They said they saw Konar’s vehicle hit another and then make no attempt to stop at the scene.
Police said they later spoke to Konar, who admitted he should have stayed.
Jan. 25 — Brianna N. Reed, 23, of Butler Township, was charged with felony insurance fraud and misdemeanor theft and making false reports, related to a reported burglary Feb. 9, 2020, on the 400 block of Bessemer Avenue in Butler Township.
Investigators said Reed reported multiple items were stolen as well as $930 cash during the burglary. Investigators said they noticed discrepancies with at least two items, which had been photographed as part of the insurance claim.
Investigators said data from photographs of two items shows they were taken by Reed after the burglary and before she called police.
Jan. 26 — Joseph J. Trischler, 53, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor making a false statement, related to an attempted gun sale at Field & Stream in Cranberry Township.
Police said Trischler was denied the purchase of a gun Aug. 3, 2020. Police said Trischler answered “no” to a question on the form that would have prohibited his buying a gun. Police said he should have answered “yes.”
Jan. 26 — William B. Cheetham, 64, of Cranberry Township, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from a Dec. 29 report of a man slumped in his vehicle.
Police said they found Cheetham, who appeared to be sleeping in a vehicle parked in front of GetGo, and multiple bystanders told officers they tried to wake him unsuccessfully.
Police said field sobriety tests showed Cheetham was impaired, and a later blood test showed he had a blood-alcohol content of .166%. In Pennsylvania, a level of .08% or greater is considered intoxicated.
Jan. 26 — Frank A. Ammer Jr., 64, of Mars, was charged with a first-offense DUI following a Dec. 17 vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 19 and Cranberry Square Drive in Cranberry Township.
Police said Ammer had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, and field sobriety tests showed he was impaired.
Police said a later blood test showed Ammer’s blood-alcohol content at .144%, and in Pennsylvania a level of .08% or greater is considered intoxicated.
Jan. 25 — Logan C. Miller, 32, of Butler, was charged with DUI, related to a Nov. 13 traffic stop on Evans City Road in Butler Township.
Police said they stopped the vehicle for making a turn without a signal. Police said they smelled marijuana in the vehicle, and field sobriety tests showed Miller was impaired. Police said they also found marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Police said Miller later refused to have his blood tested.
Jan. 24 — Terri S. Lonzo, 39, of Newark, Ohio, was charged with DUI, related to a domestic dispute on the 400 block of Dogwood Drive in Franklin Township.
Police said they found Lonzo driving a vehicle, and he appeared to stumble out of the vehicle. Police said field sobriety tests showed Lonzo was impaired, and they found marijuana in her purse.
Police said a later blood test showed amphetamine and marijuana in her system.
Jan. 24 — Rachel C. Braham, 41, of Mercer, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from a Nov. 24 traffic stop on Route 422 near the South Shore exit in Worth Township.
Police said they stopped the vehicle for traveling 80 mph in a 55-mph zone. Police said they smelled marijuana in the vehicle, and field sobriety tests showed Braham was impaired.
Police said Braham later refused to have her blood tested.
