Edna Weckerly

Edna Mae Weckerly, 98 of Cabot, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born June 8, 1922, in Middlesex Township, she was the daughter of William Charles Marshall and Ida Pearl Neupert Marshall.

Edna worked as a seamstress at the Spaide Shirt Factory during World War II and also worked at Islay’s in Butler. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Saxonburg. She was a longtime resident at Concordia. She loved flower gardening, sewing, cooking and baking, playing bingo and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth (Bob) Hoon of Novi, Mich. and Marsha (Bob) Wagner of Butler; three granddaughters, Stacey Viglione, Rosanna Brueckner and Rebecca Anderson; six great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Gianni Viglione, Evan and Arianna Brueckner, Abigail and Emma Anderson, one niece, one great-niece and two great-great-nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, of 53 years, Howard L. Weckerly, who died on April 18, 1998.

Weckerly — Private family services were held at Fox Funeral Home in Saxonburg for Edna Mae Weckerly, who died Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Interment was in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
