Marjorie "Marge" Sterling-Nitzel, 69, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, died Friday at the Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon, Ohio, surrounded by her family.

She was born July 11, 1940, in Titusville, Pa., to Robert and Susie Mae (Boyles) Sterling.

Marge is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Mitch Simpson of Mount Vernon; a brother, Keith (Ginny) Sterling of Apple Valley, Minn.; and close family friends, Tammy and Michael Bowers of Mount Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and in 2008 by her husband, Robert G. Nitzel III.
