WANT TO RIDE?
The Butler Transit Authority’s five CNG buses are equipped with fare boxes, so riders can pay their $5 in cash when they get on the bus.
Passes containing 15 trips are available for $60 and 31-trip passes are $120.
Senior citizens, age 65 or older, can ride free with a senior pass, according to John Paul, executive director of the transit authority.
Passes will be available on the bus Dec. 18 and 19. Cash or checks only will be accepted for payment.
Riders can also buy passes at any ConnectCard machine at the Pittsburgh Port Authority or Butler Transit Authority.
Online purchases and pass reloading will be available soon at www.connectcard.org, Paul said.
Paul said passes are not dated, can be used anytime, and can be replaced if lost or stolen and loaded with the remaining trips.
“We are trying to make this as convenient as possible for people,” he said.
