Knoch high, middle school evacuated for bomb threat

JEFFERSON TWP — Knoch High School and Middle School were evacuated this morning due to a bomb threat.

According to a South Butler School District press release, the threat was written on a bathroom wall in the high school.

The district stated the threat offered no details, but the high school and nearby middle school were evacuated as a precaution.

The district contacted Butler state police, who will conduct am investigation, including the use of a K-9 unit before anyone is permitted back into either building.

The students in both schools were dismissed early.

No threat exists for the South Butler elementary buildings, so classes were not interrupted.
