William Bauder Jr.
William E. Bauder Jr., 81, of Zelienople passed away Thursday morning in UPMC Passavant in McCandless Township.
Born Jan. 12, 1930, in Middle Lancaster, he was the son of the late William and Frany Schweinegruber Bauder.
Mr. Bauder was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Evans City.
He had retired as a supervisor from Halstead Metals, Zelienople, after 40 years.
He was a 50-year member of the Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM, the New Castle Consistory and the Pittsburgh Shrine.
He enjoyed golfing, and he was a member of U.S.G.A.
After retiring, he spent his winters in Brandenton, Fla., where he worked at the Summer Field Crossing Golf Club and he currently worked at Strawberry Ridge, Harmony.
He played baseball for the Butler County Eagle League. He was an avid Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan.
He is survived by his wife, Doris E. Hicks Bauder, who he married July 18, 1952; one daughter, Cheryl (Richard) Schoeffel of Evans City; one son, Jeffery (Lisa) Bauder of Greensburg; two sisters, Lynda (Jeffrey) Ness of Middle Lancaster and Frany (Michael) Washko of Bryon, Ga.; two grandchildren, Michelle Avallone and Brian Sarver; two great-grandsons, Braden Sarver and Landon Avallone; and one step-grandson, T.J. Dovie.
<B>BAUDER</B> — Relatives and friends of William E. Bauder Jr., who died Thursday, March 10, 2011, will be received at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 328 W. Main. St., Evans City from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Johns United Church of Christ, Evans City, with the Rev. Dr. Verna Call, his pastor, officiating.
