Merle Edward Sefton
Merle Edward Sefton, 84, of Franklin Township, Butler, passed away Friday evening at the Chicora Medical Center.
Born May 20, 1932, in Parkers Landing, Armstrong County, he was the son of the late John and Priscilla Roberts Sefton.
He was the owner and operator of Sefton Excavating and Trucking businesses. He was a mechanic and loved working in his garage.
Surviving is his loving wife, Mary Jane Fisher Sefton, who he was married to for over 50 years; his children: Thomas (Deborah) Sefton of Butler and Larry (Vicki) Sefton of Portersville; his grandchildren: Damien (Heather) Kniess of Connoquenessing Township, Fallon (Josh) Dick of Prospect, Dustin “Bugs” Sefton of Colorado Springs, Colo., Haley “Bean” Sefton of Culpeper, Va.; seven great-grandchildren and his sister, Marlene Michaels of Twinsburg, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Sefton; two infant sons and his siblings.
SEFTON — Visitation for Merle Edward Sefton, who died Friday, June 10, 2016, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Edward L.
