Ohio woman charged in robbery investigations
An Ohio woman is accused of pointing a gun at a man in a suspected marijuana rip-off last month in Butler.
City police obtained an arrest warrant Wednesday for Sarah E. Fox, 20, of Ironton, in connection with the alleged Feb. 8 incident.
But that wasn't the only warrant they got. In a second one, Fox is charged in an alleged armed home invasion last month in the city's Island neighborhood.
Police last week charged three others — Lamont A. “Butt Butt” Franklin, 18, of Butler; Maurice A. “Little Philly” Franklin, 27, of Freeport; and Shawndell J. Zapata, 17, of Butler — in connection with that Feb. 16 incident.
Arrest warrants were issued last week for the trio, who remain at large.
Detectives began investigating the earlier incident after a 26-year-old Butler man reported being robbed at gunpoint by an unknown woman, police said.
The victim told investigators he was in the back seat of a car the woman was driving shortly after midnight Feb. 8, before she parked in an alley behind St. Mary Street. Police believe he was with the women as part of an arranged drug deal.
