Tigers jump on Tornado

North Allegheny scored three runs in the first two innings Wednesday and cruised to a 7-2 high school baseball win over Butler.

The Golden Tornado (10-6, 5-4) were limited to four hits. Bobby Swartwout had a run-scoring single and Ryan Fennell delivered a sacrifice fly for the Butler runs.

Seneca Valley's 8-1 win over Shaler Wednesday pulled the Raiders into a tie for third place in Section 1-AAAA.

In other games:

• Blackhawk pitcher Ben Rawding threw a no-hitter in a 7-0 win over host Mars.

Rawding struck out five and walked four in the victory.

• Randy Risch struck out four and added a single and double in Grove City's 10-0, five-inning win at Commodore Perry.
