Early plans for a shopping center in Jackson Township were presented to the planning commission Wednesday, May 3, featuring a new Aldi grocery store in the municipality.

“The developer is in the very early stages of the approval process,” said Nikki Colton, planning director and zoning officer for the township.

The Jackson Village shopping center is planned at the intersection of Route 19 and Little Creek Road, along the western side.

“They (the developers) met with the planning commission last night to present their sketch plans,” Colton said Thursday. “It is my understanding that they will be submitting a full application later this month for review.”
