Next week: Alter Eagle explores ‘personal stories of addiction’
Alter Eagle, an original Butler Eagle podcast, will release two new episodes next week — highlighting first-hand accounts of addiction and the stigma surrounding it.
Going live Feb. 5, the podcast already features four episodes exploring the first season’s topic: addiction and recovery in Butler County. New episodes release every Monday and Wednesday and are available at alter-eagle.com as well as on major streaming platforms, such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
The podcast’s fifth episode will release Monday, Feb. 19, and focus on personal stories of addiction with two local individuals in recovery.
According to Laura Crago, podcast producer for the Butler Eagle, these individuals will share their journeys through addiction and recovery with an emphasis on therapy, Alcoholics Anonymous and rehabilitation programs.
In the podcast’s sixth episode — releasing Wednesday, Feb. 21 — Crago talks with U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th, about what he calls the loss of potential.
As the parent of someone struggling with substance abuse, Kelly will share his personal experience in the episode and touch on the stigma surrounding addiction.
