The Butler County Humane Society is often busy during the holiday season with the adoption and intake of animals.
From adopting and administering medicine, to cleaning and feeding, the work at the humane society is often endless as its staff and volunteers take care of the local dog and cat population, and try and match them up with forever homes.
Keeping the Butler County Humane Society up and running for just one day involves the cooperation of several people, right down to the front desk receptionists — often volunteers — who direct visitors to what they are searching for. Other staffers feed, clean and play with the dogs and cats, while others still complete administrative work behind the scenes.
All of it is for the animals.
