State police charged a Butler woman after she allegedly sent explicit sexual photos of two juveniles to multiple users on a dating app.

Abby Elizabeth Kummer, 31, of Brown Avenue, is charged with two counts each of felony child pornography, sexual exploitation of children, spreading film of child sex acts and possessing computer photos of child sex acts; one count each of felony corruption of minors, unlawful contact with minors and criminal use of communication device; two counts each of misdemeanor endangering child welfare, and one misdemeanor count of sexual exploitation, according to a criminal complaint.

Police received a tip Dec. 30 that child pornography had been uploaded to MeetMe, a dating app. The website provided police with the files and additional messages sent between Dec. 21 and 29.

According to an affidavit, the files and messages show Kummer sent explicit material of an underage girl and offered underage juveniles for sexual encounters.

The messages showed a conversation between the account belonging to Kummer and an unidentified user from Michigan. The user asks Kummer if she would engage in sexual acts with the juveniles around and allow the two juveniles to engage with them, according to the complaint. Kummer also provided her cellphone number and PayPal account in the messages.

Police said the user responded to the photos with a photo of male genitalia and said to show it to the female juvenile. Kummer agreed and showed her.

Police executed a search warrant and interviewed Kummer at her residence on Jan. 2. Police said Kummer admitted to sending clothed and nude photos of the juveniles to multiple users but denied touching them in a sexual manner. Kummer said she had stopped talking to the user because her account was deactivated.

Police found the images from the tip in Kummer’s deleted photos album of her iPhone and saw her logged in to the MeetMe app with the same username.

Kummer’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. Feb. 24 before District Judge William Fullerton.
