Pittsburgh man charged after threatening couple with a gun

State police in Butler charged a Pittsburgh man after they said he allegedly threatened a couple with a firearm at a Summit Township bar.

John Henry Sheakley Fox, 33, was charged with felony carrying a firearm without a license, two misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and one misdemeanor count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a Feb. 5 incident.

Police said Fox told an individual he would kill her and her boyfriend while in possession of a ghost gun after he left Vin & Joe’s. Police said they encountered Fox at the intersection of East Jefferson Street and Delwood Road in Butler Township and detained him.

Police said they identified the firearm Fox had concealed in his waistband as a Palmetto State Armory Dagger 9mm pistol with a magazine and laser. Police said Fox did not have a concealed carry permit.

Police said they also found a pistol magazine, box of 9mm rounds, 5.56 rifle rounds, multiple drug paraphernalia items and a black plastic case containing DMT.

Fox’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Feb. 20 before District Judge Kevin O’Donnell.
