4 men living together charged in Venango Township burglary
Four men living in the same house are accused of burglarizing a Venango Township business.
Two were accused of burglarizing the same business again the next day.
State police in Butler charged Robert Lee Pridgeon, 35, of Butler; Kevin Allen Snow, 20, of Karns City; Scott Bradley Cummins, 49, of Butler; and Boyd Allen Pritts, 32, of Butler, with one felony count each of burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and retail theft related to an alleged March 3 incident.
Police said they were dispatched to Oneida Valley Grocery in Venango Township where the manager told them a burglary had occurred between 10 p.m. March 2 and 7:45 a.m. March 3. About $1,523.31 in merchandise, lottery tickets and an additional $500 were stolen, police said.
Police responded to the store again March 5 for a burglary that occurred the previous night when $1,406.47 in merchandise was stolen. Police said they determined a group of people living at a house in the 100 block of Hughes Road committed the burglary.
Police interviewed an uninvolved individual at the residence who said the stolen items were in the house. Police said Pridgeon and Pritts implicated each other during interviews. Pridgeon was charged with the same felonies in both burglaries. He and Pritts were both additionally charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief.
The four men have preliminary hearings scheduled for 9:30 a.m. March 18 before District Judge Lewis Stoughton.
