Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
March 4 — William Robe Dingel III, 30, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession following a March 1 traffic stop in Oakland Township. Police said Dingel had a marijuana vape pen.
March 4 — Dawn D. Kummer, 54, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol following a Feb. 23 traffic stop in Clay Township. Police said Kummer showed signs of impairment but refused a legal blood draw.
March 4 — Nicholas J. R. Oesterling, 41, of Butler, was charged with felony firearm possession and misdemeanor terroristic threats following a Feb. 28 incident in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Oesterling discharged a firearm into the ground and yelled threats at a man.
March 4 — James John Ford, 41, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of driving under the influence, controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a Jan. 17 traffic stop in Buffalo Township. Police said Ford showed signs of impairment but refused a blood test, and was in possession of 50 stamp bags of suspected heroin, 10 stamp bags with residue, three syringes, a vape pen and a container with residue.
March 4 — Kevin Allen Vickinovac, 26, and Corinne Elizabeth Hall, 21, both of Valencia, were each charged with misdemeanor conspiracy to commit access device fraud related to a March 14, 2024, incident. Police said Vickinovac and Hall attempted theft of $9,439.93 by depositing multiple checks twice.
March 3 — Darnell D. Crockett, 45, of Erie, was charged with felony forgery and accessing a device without authorization related to a Feb. 12 incident. Police said Crockett attempted to fraudulently withdraw $2,350 and $2,100 from a checking account.
Feb. 27 — Ragean P. Lee, 48, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor false identification to law enforcement following a Feb. 27 incident. Police said Lee provided false identification to police.
Feb. 28 — Aaron Michael Short, 20, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of accidents involving personal injury following a Feb. 28 crash. Police said Short struck Riley Fish, 18, of Grove City, and Joseph Kozar, 19, with his vehicle while backing out. Kozar sustained a serious foot injury and Fish sustained a minor leg injury.
7:04 p.m. March 6 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 68 and South Duffy Road. Linda Castello, 74, of Prospect, was attempting to turn left onto Route 68 when her Ford Escape struck the Honda SUV of Brittany Odell, 31, of Butler. Odell reported a minor lip injury. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
