Remains identified in Feb. 7 car fire in Evans City
The Butler County Coroner’s Office, on Tuesday, March 11, released the identity of the man who died in an Evans City vehicle fire Feb. 7.
Abdulrahman Young, 26, of Coraopolis, died from thermal and inhalational injuries due to the motor vehicle fire, according to deputy coroner Korynne Young.
The manner of death — what caused the injuries — was undetermined.
The vehicle fire was reported just before 5 p.m. at DuBrook Concrete, 600 S. Washington St. in Evans City.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit, Butler County Coroner’s Office and Evans City Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
State police previously said there was an investigation into the matter and that no foul play was suspected.
