Pittsburgh man charged with drug possession by inmate
Police say a man attempted to conceal drugs while being searched during intake at Butler County Prison.
Adams Township police charged Dylan Nathaniel Wyse, 30, of Pittsburgh, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance by an inmate and one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a Feb. 14 incident.
Police said while being searched by prison staff, a dental floss dispenser fell from an unknown location on Wyse containing one blue stamp bag of suspected heroin.
Before arriving at the prison, police said they initiated a traffic stop on Wyse and found on his person a syringe loaded with methamphetamine and four pieces of drug paraphernalia, including a broken glass pipe, burned aluminum foil and a cut off straw.
Wyse’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
