Prospect man accused of biting hospital staff member
Butler City police charged a Prospect man after he allegedly wrestled with an officer and bite a hospital staff member.
Jonathan M. Pollio, 38, was charged with two felony accounts of aggravated assault and one misdemeanor count each of terroristic threats, resisting arrest and evading arrest related to a Monday, March 17 incident at Butler Memorial Hospital.
A Butler city police officer said he arrived on scene to find Pollio wrestling with another officer and being taken to the ground before being secured in handcuffs. Hospital staff then assisted by bringing a gurney with restraints, police said. While being secured in the gurney, Pollio bit a hospital staff member and threatened to kill another.
Pollio began screaming and calling officers derogatory names while being restrained.
Pollio’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
