Butler woman accused of threatening to kill federal employee
Police charged a Butler woman for allegedly threatening to kill a federal employee.
Sara Lee McCollums, 28, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of disorderly conduct and drug paraphernalia possession following a March 28 incident at the Social Security Administration office in Butler.
Police said they were called for a woman who had been detained after allegedly threatening staff. Police said McCollums threatened to kill a federal employee at the Social Security Administration and a crack pipe was found in her pocket.
Police said McCollums was visibly under the influence and admitted to using substances earlier.
McCollums waived her preliminary hearing Monday, April 7 before District Judge William Fullerton, meaning she agreed there was enough evidence for the trial to proceed to court.
McCollums’ formal arraignment is scheduled for 1 p.m. May 27 in Butler County Common Pleas Court.
