State police have released more information on the Evans City Road closure Saturday in Connoquenessing Township.

Police said Bryan K. Hartman was shooting .22-caliber handmade rifles on his property beside Connoquenessing Elementary School.

Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched shortly before 2:30 p.m. to close Evans City Road between Shannon Road and Constitution Avenue for police to investigate the incident, according to Butler County Emergency Services dispatch recordings.

Police said Hartman is a felon not to possess a firearm and was shooting at targets with improper backstops. He was taken into custody.
