CRANBERRY TWP — The ninth annual Martinis with Monet held its opening reception Wednesday, July 12, at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, showcasing more than 50 community artists.

Hosted by the Cranberry Artists Network, the event invited artists in the region to submit up to two pieces for a juried exhibition this summer. The work will be on display through Aug. 24.

According to network president Noele Reynolds, more than 100 pieces of art are on display at the township.

Participants were judged by Brittany Reilly, executive director and curator of the Irving & Aaronel deRoy Gruber Foundation and Collection in Pittsburgh, and awarded certificates of excellence for first, second, third and honorable mentions — as well as over $1,000 in cash prizes.

Martinis with Monet is presented by the Cranberry Artist Network; the Cranberry Township Community Chest; Campbell Durrant, P.C.; and Herbert, Rowland & Grubic.
