New Cranberry courts open for play
While renovations at Graham Park’s UPMC Passavant Sportsplex aren’t quite finished, courts have opened for play as of Wednesday, Aug. 9.
“The basketball and tennis courts are open,” township manager Dan Santoro said. “Pickleball is mostly complete.”
While crews are still adding the dividing nets between the pickleball courts, Santoro said players are still able to play on the new courts.
“They can play regular pickleball, but there’s no fence between the six new courts,” he said. “So you might have to chase your ball a little bit.”
Fences are expected to arrive in the township by next week, according to Santoro.
“It’s great that we have a new facility open,” he said. “And it’s attracting more folks to Graham Park — one of the premier parks in the township.”
