Mars Borough kicked off the holiday season Saturday, Nov. 25, with Light Up Mars.
Santa and Mrs. Claus made their borough debut at 4 p.m., alongside a holiday market featuring more than 40 food, drink and artisan vendors on Pittsburgh Street.
Carriage rides around town were organized by Misty Lane Farms Performance Horses, and Girl Scouts Troop 28033 cheered the frosty afternoon air with caroling.
At dusk, organizers set the wintry scene with a tree lighting, sponsored by Stick City Brewing Company.
Festivities concluded with the borough’s holiday parade down Grand Avenue.
