State police: Cabot man seriously injured in Friday crash along Pittsburgh Road

State police say at least one driver sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash along Route 8 in Penn Township on Friday, Jan. 31.

State police in Butler said Rebecca A. Lambert, 22, of Butler, was traveling north on Pittsburgh Road in a Kia Soul around 9 p.m. when she allegedly drove across the center turning lane and struck the Chrysler Town and Country of Mark D. Sedlak, 54, of Cabot, in the far-right northbound lane.

Police said Lambert’s vehicle came to rest in the far-right northbound lane, and Sedlak’s vehicle came to rest on the far-right southbound lane.

They said Sedlak suffered serious injuries, and Lambert suffered unknown injuries. Both were taken by Butler EMS to Allegheny General Hospital.

The vehicles were towed by Malinski Towing. Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
