Police say Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District allegations were already investigated, no wrongdoing found
Though social media claims have circulated alleging inappropriate conduct at Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District, police in Clarion County have already opened and closed an investigation, finding no wrongdoing in the process.
According to state police for Troop C, Clarion County District Attorney Drew Welsh completed an investigation in January related to the district, which is situated in Butler, Clarion and Venango counties.
The confirmation about an investigation into the school district concerns comes after multiple social media users have alleged explicit misconduct against current and former district employees at the Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District and criticized the lack of administrative responses.
Vaughn Norbert, Troop C community services coordinator, said the investigation included interviews with all parties involved in the allegations, and no wrongdoing was found. No arrests were made and no citations were issued, he said.
Norbert was unable to confirm when the investigation opened, over what period of time it was conducted or any people named. Attempts to reach Welsh were unsuccessful Tuesday afternoon.
Superintendent David McDeavitt declined to comment on the personnel issue Tuesday afternoon.
The Butler Eagle also reached out to the state police barracks in Butler and Venango counties. Public information officers, Trooper Cindy D. Schick of Troop E and Trooper Bertha Cazy of Troop D both deferred to Troop C, which covers Clarion County.
The Butler Eagle has requested records connecting the allegations and the district’s administrative responses.
