No injuries reported in Harrisville truck fire
About five fire companies responded to tractor trailer fire Thursday evening in Harrisville.
Harrisville Volunteer Fire Company Chief Steve Bickel said his crew arrived in the area of 415 E. Mercer St. to find the tractor “well involved.” He upgraded the call to a structure fire due to its proximity to a garage, but the garage was unscathed.
The call came in around 8:20 p.m. for a fire at a landscaping company just down the road from the fire company.
Crews were on scene fighting the blaze for about an hour and a half and reported no injuries.
Harrisville police arrived on scene first. Marion Township Volunteer Fire Company, Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Mercer County’s Pine Township Volunteer Fire Department and Grove City Volunteer Fire Department also responded, Bickel said.
