One child, one man and one woman died in a fire early Monday morning, Feb. 24, on North Grant Avenue in Kittanning, according to the Armstrong County coroner.

Coroner Brian Myers confirmed the deaths. Initial reports said two other children evacuated the home.

Armstrong County dispatchers said the call came in around 3:49 a.m., and fire crews were still on scene at 8:45 a.m. containing the incident.

Representatives from Kittanning Hose Company #6 declined to comment.
