Man charged for pointing gun at 2 individuals

A Tarentum man allegedly pointed a gun at his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend from his vehicle while leaving the Clearview Mall on Sunday, according to police.

Kameryn Nathaniel Trim, 20, was charged with two misdemeanor counts each of administering terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct related to the Feb. 23 incident in Center Township.

State Police in Butler said the ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend were sitting at a stoplight leaving Clearview Mall when Trim pulled into the lane next to them with his window down and pointed a gun at them. The individuals told police the gun was dark silver and resembled a Sig Sauer pistol, according to the affidavit.

The incident followed an unofficial event at the parking lot of Rural King that all three attended, police said. The couple indicated that they did not interact with Trim at the event.

Trim’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:10 a.m. April 8 before District Judge Lewis Stoughton.
