Girl, 8, man transported to hospitals after Concord Township crash
An 8-year-old girl was flown to a hospital, and an 18-year-old man was transported after a Wednesday, March 19, crash in Concord Township.
The crash occurred around 5:12 p.m. on Oneida Valley Road, about 307 feet north of Hindman Road, according to the report.
Police said the girl was flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital with injuries of unknown severity. She was in a booster seat in a Nissan Rogue driven by Nicholas J. Buckley, 39, of Karns City, which was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Lucas T. Waugaman, 18, of Parker, according to the report.
Waugaman was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries of unknown severity, and Buckley was observed with injuries but denied transport, police said.
Police said Waugaman was traveling north on Oneida Valley Road when he rear-ended Buckley’s vehicle, which was stopped in the northbound lane attempting to turn into Buckley’s driveway.
Police said Rebecca S. Campbell, 40, of Petrolia, was traveling southbound in a Honda Pilot with a 10-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy as passengers when she struck debris from the crash, which caused her to drive off the west side of the road. Police said the debris caused damage to the top of the vehicle, but its occupants were not injured.
Stat MedEvac, Butler Ambulance Services, East Butler Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance and West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the crash. Prys Towing towed the two vehicles involved in the rear-end crash.
